Don Harrington Discovery Center

The Outreach program offered by the Discovery Center is a Starlab. The Starlab is an inflatable, portable dome which is 20 feet wide and 10 feet high. Inside the Starlab, students can have the experience of visiting a planetarium without leaving school – what an adventure!

Exploring the Night Sky	A live program explores objects found in the sky visible that evening. Students will learn how to locate objects such as the Sun, Moon, planets and constellations. Exploring the Solar System	The planets of the Solar System are presented in the Starlab. The students will learn about the different planets, unusual characteristics of each planet and their moons and how to locate any planets visible in the sky that evening.
