Amazing Science
New Exhibit Area on display for summer FUN.
Admission rate change and new museum hours.

Discover how simple and amazing science truly is during this special exhibit focusing on the basics. The exhibit uses simple “experiments” to explain concepts relating to electricity, weather, insects, sounds, engineering, health and structures. The display is for people of all ages and encourages group participation. The museum also assembled 60 amazing facts regarding the exhibit topics which fit the theme for the summer: “Puzzles, Mysteries and Brainteasers”.

The exhibit will be on display from June 12 to October 31, 2004. The Discovery Center is expecting near 15,000 visitors during the term of the exhibit. The Amazing Science exhibit will be included in regular museum admission fees.

The Space Theater Festival will be June 1 to June 25, 2004. During this time, the museum will show four shows to the general public. The show schedule is:
11:00 a.m. Fantastic Universe (No 11:00 a.m. show on Sundays)
1:00 p.m. New Horizons
2:00 p.m. Wonders of the Universe
3:00 p.m. Sky Tonight
A new Space Theater presentation called, “The Puzzle Barrier,” produced by the Discovery Center, will be shown June 26 to November 24, 2004.

Amazing Science exhibit area is included with museum admission. Admission to the museum is $5.50 for adults, $4.50 for children ages 3 to 12 and $5.00 for senior citizens and students (ages 13-22 with school ID). Space Theater admission is included with the Discovery Center admission. Museum hours are from Tuesday thru Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 4:30 p.m. The Center is closed on Mondays.

The museum is a private, not-for-profit organization that makes science exciting, relevant and interesting to all types of learners by providing interactive exhibits and programs that actively engage children, adolescents and their families. It fosters inquiring minds and nurtures the individual genius that is within each of us.
